Jennie A. White, 100

    Jennie A. White, age 100, of Irvine, Kentucky, formerly of Richmond, passed away Monday, July 15, 2013, at her home.
    She was born April 25, 1913, in Madison County to the late James M. and Grace Todd Anderson, both of whom preceded her in death. She was the widow of Raymond White. Mrs. White was a retired employee of Westinghouse in Richmond and a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church.
    Survivors include her daughter, Pam Richardson (Linville Arthur); three grandchildren, Tamara Richardson, Sharla Dawes and Danny Proctor (Pamela); five great grandchildren, Tracy, Aaron, Taylor, Ryan, and Breanna; and one son-in-law, Vernon J. Proctor.
    She was preceded in death by one daughter, Gloria Proctor; three brothers, Arthur Anderson, Orville Anderson and Delbert Anderson; one sister, Kandis Anderson.
    Funeral service for Mrs. White were conducted at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 17, 2013 at Oldham, Roberts & Powell Funeral Home, 1110 Barnes Mill Road, Richmond, with Pastor Greg Daniel officiating. Burial followed in the Berea Cemetery. Visitation was from 12 noon until service time, Wednesday, at the funeral home.
    Pallbearers were Danny Proctor, Aaron Proctor, Mike Anderson, Kent Anderson, Wayne Chasteen, and Greg Shackelford.
    Franklin Turpin served as an honorary pallbearer.
    In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to Hospice Compassionate Care Center, 350 Isaacs Lane, Richmond, KY 40475.

Jackie Earl McHone, 66

    Jackie Earl McHone, age 66, of Richmond, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, July 11, 2013, at the home of his daughter in Estill County.
    Jackie was born on May 12, 1947 in Hamilton, Ohio, and was the son of Earl Clyde and Denise Guernale`c McHone, both of whom preceded him in death. He served in the United States Army and was a Sergeant in the Kentucky National Guard. Jackie was a member of the holiness faith.
    Survivors include his longtime wife and companion, Margie Marie McHone Samples; one son, Christopher Allen McHone (Michelle) of Flat Gap; one daughter, Cheryl L. Hocker (Wayne), of Irvine; five brothers: Allen, Ron, Denny, Jimmy, and Johnny McHone; three sisters: Lucy, Mary, and Donna Childress; one half-brother, Nero Cornelius; and 11 grandchildren.
    He was also preceded in death by a son, Jackie Wayne McHone; and one brother, Earl McHone.
    The funeral service for Jackie was conducted at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, July 14th at Oldham, Roberts & Powell Funeral Home, 1110 Barnes Mill Road, Richmond, with Pastor Jeff Jackson officiating the service. Burial followed in the Pilot Knob Cemetery with military honors observed. Visitation was from 11:00 a.m. until service time on Sunday at the funeral home.

Buddy Bob Hale, 70

    Buddy Bob Hale, 70, husband of Jane Goins Hale, passed away Thursday, July 11, 2013 at his home after a long illness. Mr. Hale was the former owner of B&J Furniture.
    He was a native of Estill County, born September 9, 1942, a son of the late John David “Bud” & Effie Sparks Hale.
    Mr. Hale was preceded in death by his grandson, Bobby Ray Luster; and his brother, Gary Hale.
    Survivors, other than his wife Jane, include a daughter, Regina (Scott) Luster; his sons: John (Jo Ann) Hale and Dean (Crystal) Hale; his grandchildren: Big Josh Luster, Little Josh Hale, Patricia Hale, Owen Powell, Hailey Hale and Chris Hale; his brothers: Philip (Joyce) Hale and Bev (Peggy) Hale; his sister, Judy Hackworth; his sister-in-law, Connie; and a very special cousin, Darrell Roberts.
    Services were held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, July 15th at Lewis Funeral Home, with Bro. Delvin Reece and Bro. Earl Embry officiating. Burial followed in the Campbell Cemetery. Friends called anytime after 6:00 p.m., Sunday, July 14th at the funeral home.
    Pallbearers were Shawn Hale, Douglas Fields, Davie Hale, William Goins, Cheryl Webb and James Webb.

Shirley Ann McCollum

Shirley Ann McIntosh McCollum, 73

    Shirley Ann McIntosh McCollum, age 73, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, July 11, 2013 at Sts. Mary and Elizabeth Hospital.
    She was born on August 17, 1939 in Louisville to the late Dewey McIntosh and Dorothy Colvin. She was a member of the Estill County Historical Society and the VFW Millcreek Women's Auxiliary.
    In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by two brothers, Woody and Jerry McIntosh; and a daughter-in-law, Judy Briney.
    She is survived by her husband, Leonard W. McCollum; children, Rick Briney, Rhonda Briney, Ray (Debbie) Briney, Frank (Tammi) Briney and Rob (Rhonda) Briney; 57 grand, great-grand, and great-great-grandchildren; six stepchildren; four sisters, Doris, Dena, Shaunia, and Louise; and a brother, Larry.
    A celebration of her life was conducted Saturday July 13, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road, Louisville, with entombment in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation was Saturday from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. at the funeral home.

Dorothy Neikirk Warren, 93

    Dorothy Neikirk Warren, age 93, a resident of the Lee County Care and Rehabilitation Center in Beattyville, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, July 10, 2013 at the Center, following a short illness.
    She was born March 7, 1920 in Estill County and was the daughter of the late Louis and Elizabeth Green Neikirk. She was a homemaker and a charter member of the Friendship Baptist Church. She had lived in Estill County most of her life.
    She was preceded in death by her husband, Steven Warren.
    She is survived by one sister, Mildred Tuttle, Fayette County; three brothers: Danny Neikirk (Brenda), Estill County; Bill Neikirk (Ruth Ann), Virginia; and Raymond Neikirk (Lena) Estill County; and five sisters-in-law: Loretta, Helen, Sue, Faye and Betty Neikirk.
    She was preceded in death by seven brothers: Ralph, Donald, Lewis, Marshall, Boyd, James and Fred Neikirk.
    Funeral services were conducted at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, July 13th at the Friendship Baptist Church by Bro. Kirt Scott. Burial was be at the Richmond Cemetery. Friends called between 6 and 9 p.m., Friday, July 12th at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home and from 9:00 a.m. until service time, Saturday, at the church.

Marcus Campbell, 69

    Marcus Campbell, age 69, of 10th Avenue, Clay City, Kentucky, passed away Monday, July 8, 2013 at his residence.
    Marcus was born in Hazard, Kentucky, April 2, 1944.
    He is survived by three sons: Marcus L Campbell (Tammy) of Floyds Knob, Indiana; Richard Campbell (Georgina) of Tampco, Indiana; and Don Brewer of Irvine; five daughters: Shelia Johnson (Allen) of Lexington, Indiana; Bobbie Campbell, Barbara Campbell, both of Austin, Indiana; Janice Campbell and Margo Flinders ( Ricky), both of Stanton; 29 grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren; two brothers: Richard “Buster” Campbell of Florida and Alvin Campbell of Clay City; and four sisters: Christine Frisby of Hazard, Ella Mae Campbell of Loretta, Tennessee; Clementine Tracy and Sharon Bishop, both of Clay City.
    Marcus was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew and Leona Campbell; four brothers and three sisters. Funeral services were held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, July 11th at the Grayson Funeral Home Chapel in Clay City. Friends visited 5-9, Wednesday, July 10th at the funeralhome. Burial was in the Hall – Tin Town Cemetery.

Leoma (Howard) Woosley, 94

    Leoma (Howard) Woosley, age 94, of Irvine, Kentucky, finished her journey on earth and went to be with her Lord on Monday, July 8, 2013.
    She was born on August 24, 1918 in Seymour, Indiana, to the late Uncas and Birdie (Hawkins) Howard. On May 12, 1934, she married the late Wilson Woosley. She was a devoted wife and lovingly raised four children and proudly became a grandmother; great and great-great grandmother. She devoted her life to her family which came second only to her love and devotion for her Lord. She loved to work in her flower gardens, tend to her chickens, quilt and crochet, and yard-saleing.
    She was preceded in death by her parents, Uncas and Birdie Howard; husband, Wilson Woosley; siblings, Uncas Howard Jr., Earl Howard, Mary Johnson, Lucille Webb, Edith Johnson, Clara Johnson; a granddaughter, Teresa Moses Francisco; a grandson Ron Profitt; and adaughter-in-law, Gladys Woosley.
    She is survived by her sons: Kenneth Woosley of Irvine, and Bob Woosley of West College Corner, Indiana; a daughter Janice Reynolds of Irvine; a daughter and son-in-law, Faye and Charles Havens of Bath, Indiana; adaughter-in-law, Barbara Woosley of Irvine; and a son-in-law James Reynolds of Irvine. She also leaves behind 16 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; 20 great, great grandchildren; four sisters: Hazel Wiseman, Ann Allen, Sarah Thacker and Effie Moore; and numerous nieces and nephews.
    She was a faithful member of the White Oak Church of God where she loved to sing.
    Funeral services were held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, July 13th at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home Chapel by Bro. Glendyn Woosley. Burial was at the Wood Cemetery. Friends called between 6 and 9 p.m., Friday, July 12th at the funeral home.

    Emma A. Tincher Strange, age 58, of Berea, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, July 7, 2013. She was born September 16, 1954 in Fayette County, Kentucky.
    She is survived by one brother, James Tincher of Clay City; three sisters: Mary Elam (James) of Clay City, Tina Howell of Irvine, and Janie Grace of Berea.
    Graveside services were held Tuesday, July 9th at the Pea Ridge Cemetery in Irvine.
    She was preceded in death by a sister, Beverly McIntosh.

    Dorothy Jean Coffey Newman, 70, wife of Bro. James Newman, passed away Thursday, June 27, 2013.
    She was a native of Rockcastle County, a daughter of the late Leonard and Grace Richmond Coffey. She was preceded in death by her sister, Naomi Hall.
    Survivors, other than her husband of 53 years, James Newman, include her daughters: Grace Jean (Tommy) Smith and Joyce Faye (Greg) Wall; her sons: James William Newman, Gregory J. (Elien) Newman, and David Newman; her sisters: Bertha Gipson and Mary Rauleston; her brothers: Clyde, Fred, James, and Paul Coffey; ten grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.

    Henriella Richardson Thomas, age 93, a resident of the Irvine, Kentucky, Health & Rehabilitation Center, passed away Sunday, July 7, 2013, at the Marcum & Wallace Memorial Hospital after a long illness.
    She was born May 17, 1920 in Estill County and was the daughter of the late Wade Sr. and Rhoda Jane Shepherd Richardson. She was a homemaker and a member of the Irvine First Baptist Church where she participated in the church and was very strong in her faith.
    Mrs. Thomas was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey Thomas.
    She is survived by two daughters: Alleda Joyce Cox (Bobby), Berea; and Juanita Ann Hughes, Estill County; one daughter-in-law, Phyllis A. Thomas, Estill County; seven grandchildren: Roger Wilson Cox, Rex Allen Cox, Regina Joy Heckman (Warren), Rebecca Venter (Willem), Darvell Hughes Webster (Tom), Shannon Hughes Reeder (Brian), and Jamie Thomas Day (Doug); 11 great grandchildren: Ashley Cox, Nicholas Heckman, Emma Heckman, Thomas Venter, Alicia Venter, Jerran Webster, Jayden Webster, Jantzen Day, Kordel Day, Brady Reeder and Brylee Reeder.
    She was preceded in death by one son, James L. Thomas; a son-in-law, Darrell L. Hughes; four sisters: Ora Lainhart, Sally Oliver, Margie Abner, and Stanley “Sis” Thomas; and five brothers: Wade Jr., Clyde, T.H., Glenn and Jennings Richardson.

Wilma Jean King Hall, 85

    Wilma Jean King Hall, age 85, of Ravenna, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, July 6, 2013 at the Irvine Health and Rehabilitation Center.
    She was preceded in death by her husband, Chester Hall; brothers: Matt King and Jack King; and a sister, Mazine Spicer.
    Born on August 12, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Carl and Lilly King. Jean was a loving mother and grandmother, devoted to her family and friends. She enjoyed gardening, quilting, crocheting, reading, and talking about her travels which included 49 states and Europe. She enjoyed the company of many friends, and she always said her greatest joy was her family. During World War II, she worked in a munitions factory in Michigan. After the war she went to work as a clerk for the L & N Railroad. Later she managed the Dollar General Store. She was a member of the Cedar Grove Methodist Church and had attended the Ravenna Nazarene Church for many years.
    Jean is survived by her daughter, Chesteen (Robbie) Robbins; sons: Tim Hall (Joyce), and Barry Hall; three grandchildren: Nancy Fuller (Matt), Mary Raider (Aaron), and Tina Hall; and four beloved great grandchildren: Lance Fuller, Barrett Fuller, Elizabeth Raider and Elliott Raider; two sisters: Pat Griffin and Betty Florence; as well as several nieces and nephews.
    Funeral Services were conducted at 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 9th at the Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral Home, 328 West Main Street, Richmond. Private burial will follow. Visitation was from 5:00 p.m. until service time on Tuesday at the funeral home.

    Darrell Gene Hollingsworth, age 47, husband of Millie Barker Hollingsworth, passed away Friday, July 5, 2013 at St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky, after a long illness.
    He was born January 2, 1966, a son of Haskell Hollingsworth and the late Jimmie Ann White Hollingsworth. He was a retired water plant operator. He was a member of the Christian Assembly of God in Mt. Sterling. He loved the outdoors, hunting and fishing.
    Mr. Hollingsworth was preceded in death by his brother, Joseph Lee Hollingsworth, and his mother, Jimmie Ann White Hollingsworth.
    Survivors, other than his wife, Millie Barker Hollingsworth, include his father, Haskell Hollingsworth; his brothers: Paul (Pam) Hollingsworth) and Tommy (Pauline) Williams; his nephew, Zachary Hollingsworth; and special friends, Peggy and Jerry Hollingsworth.
    Services were held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 9th at Lewis Funeral Home with Bro. Robbie Conn officiating. Burial followed in the Campbell Cemetery. Friends called from 12:00 Noon until service time on Tuesday.

    Hallie Walters Banks, age 70, a resident of the Irvine Health & Rehabilitation Center, passed away Thursday, July 4, 2013 at Baptist Health-Lexington following a short illness.
    She was born September 3, 1942 in Estill County and was a daughter of the late James and Mattie Kirby Walters. She was a homemaker and had lived in Estill County all of her life. She attended Crystal Holiness Church.
    She is survived by her husband, Millard Banks; one daughter, Pam Gentry (Robby), Waco; two sons: Wayne Banks (Fran) and Jerry Banks, both of Estill County; one sister, Edna Powell, Estill County; and four grandchildren: Angela Banks, Kimberly Banks, Kayla Banks and Wesley Banks.
    In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters: Daisy Berryman and Betha Hardy.

Mary Johnson Ingram Clark, 91

    Mary Johnson Ingram Clark, age 91, a resident of the Bluegrass Care and Rehabilitation Center, Lexington, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, June 27, 2013, at the Center following a long illness.
    She was born July 18, 1921 in Estill County and was the daughter of the late William Wade Johnson and Mary Lucy Richardson Johnson Crowe. She was a retired nurse’s aide and had worked at The Richmond Place and the Glenway Lodge. She attended the Baptist Church and had lived in Clark County most of her life.
    She was preceded in death by her husband, John Leonard Ingram.
    She is survived by three daughters: Arbiedella Ingram Muncie, Winchester; Sarah Ingram Hall, Mount Sterling; and Betty Ingram Johnson, Winchester; 14 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and three great great grandchildren.
    She was preceded in death two sisters: Martha Thomas and Dorothy Collins; and two brothers: Raymond and Willie Johnson.
    Funeral services were conducted at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, June 29th at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home Chapel by Bro. Charles Carter. Burial was at the West Irvine Cemetery. Friends called from 11:00 a.m. until service time on Saturday at the funeral home.

    Lillie Pearl Freeman, age 90, of New Fox Road in Irvine, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, June 27, 2013 at the Hospice Compassionate Care Center in Richmond.
    She was born July 6, 1922 in Estill County and was the daughter of the late Millard and Myrtle Short Mansfield. She was a homemaker and a member of the Bethel Christian Church. She had lived in Estill County most of her life.
    Mrs. Freeman was preceded in death by her husband, Ira Ray Freeman.
    She is survived by six daughters: Evelyn Madge Brandenburg (Wilse), Estill County; Carolyn Allene Coleman (Rick), Louisville; Joyce Ann Lawyer (Paul), Indiana; Phyllis Sue Henderson (Tom), Lexington; Janice Ruth Wilson (Joe), Madison County; and Gina Michelle Murphy (Tony), Estill County; four sons: Douglas Ray Freeman (Marie), Lexington; Gary Lynn Freeman (Debbie), Ezra Gayle Freeman (Michele) and William Jeffrey Freeman (Sherry), all of Estill County; a son-in-Law, Price Rawlins, Lexington; two sisters: Mildred Woods, Estill County; and Alsie Merritt, Winchester; two brothers: Melvin Mansfield and Ronald Mansfield, both of Estill County; and 26 grandchildren and 42 great grandchildren also survive.
    In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Myrtle Geneva Rawlins; one son, Kenneth Earl Freeman; two grandchildren: Olivia Jo Freeman and Donald Lynn Freeman; two great grandchildren: Ivy Marie Freeman and McKenna Lawyer; one sister, May Richardson; and five brothers: Clyde Earl, Gene, Roy, and Clarence Mansfield.

Joshua Andrew Lynn, 32

    Joshua Andrew Lynn, age 32, of Frames Branch Road, Clay City, Kentucky, passed away at his residence on Thursday, June 27, 2013.
    He is survived by his parents, Wallace and Rebecca Barnes of Clay City; two brothers: Edward Lynn III (Rhonda) of Indiana and Gregory Lynn (Yumi) of Japan; his grandfather, Richard Barnes of Irvine; and several aunts, uncles, nephews and cousins.
    Joshua was preceded in death by his grandparents, Laura Barnes and John and Evelyn Bline.
    Funeral services were held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, July 1st at the Grayson Funeral Home Chapel, 201 7th Avenue in Clay City. Visitation was held 5-9 p.m., Sunday, June 30th at the funeral home. Burial was in the Goodwin Cemetery.

Joan Edwina Richardson, age 65

    Joan Edwina Richardson, age 65, of Poplar Street in Ravenna, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, June 27, 2013, at her home following a short illness.
    She was born May 6, 1948 in Estill County and was the daughter of the late Edward and Viola Powell Hunt. She was a retired teacher’s aide with the Estill County School System and a member of the Ravenna City Council. She was a member of the Irvine First Church of God, the Marcum and Wallace Memorial Hospital Auxiliary and the Estill County Homemakers. She was also a Kentucky Colonel and was a participant in the LEAP Program. She had lived in Estill County all of her life.
    She is survived by her husband, James Willard “Jimmy” Richardson II; her daughter, Rebecca Barker (Owen), Irvine; her son, James Willard Richardson III, Irvine; one brother, Walter Nelson Hunt (Judy), Winchester; one grandchild, Ryan Hunter Freeman, Irvine; several nieces and nephews, and a host of other family and friends.
    She was preceded in death by two brothers, Dwight and Johnny Hunt.
    Funeral services were conducted at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, June 30th at the Irvine First Church of God by Rev. Glennis Sizemore and Rev. Todd St. John. Burial was at the Sunset Memorial Gardens. Friends called between 6 and 9 p.m., Saturday, June 29th at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home and from 1:00 p.m. until service time, Sunday, at the church.
    Pallbearers were James W. Richardson, III, Jeff Pearson, Nathan White, John Hunt, II, Steve Baber, Parnell Todd and Owen Barker.

Dovie Wood Tuttle, 96

    Dovie Wood Tuttle, age 96, widow of Bergin Tuttle Sr. passed away Thursday, June 27, 2012.
    She was a native of Estill County, born February 25, 1917, a daughter of the late John and Bertha Stevens Wood. She was a member of the Bethel Christian Church, and enjoyed sewing, quilting, canning and gardening.
    Mrs. Tuttle was preceded in death by two children: John Franklin Tuttle, and Bertha Ann Tuttle; six brothers: Willis, Harold, Willie, O’Neil, Clarence, and Lewis Wood; four sisters: Mattie Wood, Alice Lee Wood, Mary Ella Freeman, and Aileen Harrison; two grandsons: Johnnie Wayne Townsend Jr. and James Sanford Profitt Jr.; and a great-grandson, Dalton Timothy Peters..
    Survivors include a son, Bergin Tuttle Jr.; her daughters: Suette Morguson, Mary Joyce Karvosky, Arleen Hall, Linda Palmer, Janice McKinney, Elizabeth Townsend and Brenda Wolfinbarger; her brothers: Ambrose, Edgar and Alfred Wood; 13 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren; and ten great, great grandchildren.
    Services were held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 29th at Lewis Funeral Home with Bro. Elwood Patrick officiating. Burial followed in the Wood Cemetery. Friends called anytime after 6:00 p.m., Friday, June 28th at the funeral home.
    Pallbearers were Gregory Tuttle, Bergin Tuttle III, Bergin Tuttle IV, Randy Shumate, Kelly Palmer, Kevin Palmer, Greg Bussell, and Woody Patrick.
    Honorary bearers were Allen Morguson, John Perkins, Bill Hall, Johnny Palmer, Darrell Wood, Phillip Freeman, Roger Dawes, Jeff Harrison, Glen Freeman, David Wood, Ben Tuttle, Ed Wood, Ambrose Wood and Alfred Wood.

Anthony Francis Luedtke

Anthony Francis Luedtke, 51

    Anthony Francis Luedtke, age 51, husband of Rosella (Roberts) Luedtke; passed away on Wednesday, June 26, 2013 at his residence in Irvine, Kentucky.
    Anthony was born in Baltimore, Maryland on June 29, 1961, a son of the late Angelo and Shirley Ann (Wenczklwski) Luedtke. He was a truck driver with the PTL Trucking Company of Murray, Kentucky, and had served his great nation in both the United States Marines and the United States Navy during the Cold War. He was a fitness trainer, an avid fan of the UK Wildcats, a member of American Legion Post #79 in Irvine and the National Rifle Association, and a member of the Grace Baptist Church in Waco, Kentucky.
    He is survived by his wife, Rosella "Rosie" Luedtke; two daughters; Cindy (Glen) Carey of Lexington and Bobbie Hall of Irvine; one son, Richard (Sarah) Creech of Lexington; two brothers, Steven (Missy) Luedtke and Charles Luedtke, both of Maryland; one sister; Angelina (Dwayne) Van Pelt of Maryland; a special daughter in law, Della Creech; four grandchildren: Michael Hudson, Dakota Carey, Mason Hudson and Eric Carey; godson and nephew Dwayne Van Pelt Jr.; nephews: Ryan and Claude Van Pelt, Steven and Michael Luedtke; and many close friends from the VA Hospital in Lexington, especially Jessie Kidwell; along with a host of relatives and friends.
    Anthony was preceded in death by his parents.
    Funeral services, along with Military Rites by DAV Chapter #165, were held at the Booneville Funeral Home, Booneville, at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 29th with Pastor Cecil Burns officiating. Visitation was held Friday, June 28th, 6-9 p.m. at the funeral home. Anthony was laid to rest in the Shepherd Memorial Cemetery located in the Booneville.

Beverly McIntosh, 57

    Beverly McIntosh, age 57, of Winchester, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, June 26, 2013 at The University of Kentucky Hospital in Lexington.
    She is survived by her husband, Larry "Fonzie" McIntosh; two sons; Mathew Campbell of Clay City and Carl Hall (Lilly) of Irvine, one daughter, Tammy Johnson (Todd) of Fairborn, Ohio; four sisters: Mary Elam of Clay City, Emma Strange of Berea, Janie Grace of Berea and Tina Howell of Irvine; and seven grandchildren.
    Graveside services were held at 12:00 Noon on Sunday, June 30th at the Pea Ridge Cemetery in Irvine with Bro. Joshua Wayne and Bro. Herbert Barnett officiating.
    Grayson Funeral Home of Clay City was in charge of arrangements.

Janice Rose West Miller

Janice Rose West Miller, age 76

    Janice Rose West Miller, age 76, of Bertha Wallace Drive in Irvine, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, June 25, 2013 at Marcum & Wallace Memorial Hospital following a long illness.
    She was born January 24, 1937 in Estill County and was a daughter of the late Tracy and Nettie Powell West. She was a retired school teacher with the Estill County School System and was a past member of the Estill County Retired Teachers Association and a member of the Kentucky Colonels. She had lived in Estill County most of her life.
    Mrs. Miller was preceded in death by her husband, Victor Leon Miller.
    She is survived by one daughter: Vicki (Bill) Singleton, Estill County; two sons: Michael (Tom) Miller, Lexington; and Jon (Jennifer) Miller, Brandenburg; two sisters: Susie Ballard, Ravenna; Tula Prewitt, Frankfort; and four grandchildren: Stephanie Singleton Squires, Trent Singleton, Kara Beth Singleton and Jake Miller.
    Funeral services were conducted at 11:00 a.m., Friday, June 28th at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Max Hester. Burial was at the Sunset Memorial Gardens. Friends called between 6 and 9 p.m., Thursday, June 27th at the funeral home.
    Pallbearers were Stephanie Squires, Trent Singleton, Kara Beth Singleton, Jake Miller, Donald Richardson, Rick Prewitt, Barry Arthur and Les Withers.
    Honorary pallbearers were all past and present members of the West Irvine Elementary family.

Brenda Joyce Conrad, 64

    Brenda Joyce Conrad was born August 19, 1948 in Estill County and departed this life Monday, June 24, 2013 at her residence, being 64 years of age.
    She was the daughter of the late Leslie & Isabelle Canter.
    Brenda is survived by four children: Lisa Strouse (Mark) of Lexington, Cleveland J. Angel (Letta) of London, Darrell Conrad (Tracy) of McKee and Gregory Lee Conrad (Rose) of Indiana. She is also survived by a sister, Anna Lois Embs of Irvine; and by two brothers: David Canter and Douglas Canter, both of Irvine. Brenda was blessed with 11 grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and by a special friend, Boyd Coots.
    In addition to her parents, Brenda was also preceded in death by her husband, Harold Conrad; and by a sister, Eula Flynn.
    Brenda was of the Baptist Faith.
    The funeral service was held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, June 27th at the Lakes Funeral Home in McKee with Bro. Clay Hanes officiating. Burial followed in the Isaacs Cemetery in Lee County.
    Pallbearers were Josey, Jordan, Greg and Darrell Conrad; Cleveland J. Angel and Boyd Coots.
    Honorary pallbearers were Leslie Flynn, Jerry Conrad and Joshua Ross.
