Geneva Lawson, 77

    Geneva Lawson, age 77, who resided in Lexington, Kentucky, passed away on Sunday, July 28, 2013 at her home with family members at her bedside. Mrs. Lawson succumbed after battling a long chronic illness.
    She was born in Estill County on May 24, 1936 to the late Floyd B. and Dovie Norton. She was one of their eleven children. Mrs. Lawson lived and attended her primary education in the small community of Pea Ridge in Estill County. After high school she became an ordained minister and enjoyed hearing, watching, and teaching the gospel to others. She was the mother of six children and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
    Mrs. Lawson is survived by two sisters: Katherine Hall and Nettie Pearl Powers, both of Estill County; her children: Donna Waddell, Michael Dulin, Sandra Reeves, all of Lexington; Terry Holbert of Tampa, Florida; and Timothy Colyer of Goldboro, North Carolina; her grandchildren: Michael D. Dulin, Paul W. Abner, Chris Abner, all of Jessamine County; Michael W. Dulin Jr. of Dallas, Texas; Kyle Dulin of Tulsa, Oklahoma; Joshua Cobb of Lexington, Cindy Cobb, Matthew Holbert, Amy Holbert, all of Madison County; Angie Holbert of Apex, North Carolina; Andrea Kelly, Brandon Kelly, both of Estill County; and Angela Webb of Lexington; and several great grandchildren.
    Mrs. Lawson was receiving excellent health care at the time of her passing by Hospice of the Bluegrass. We are so thankful for all of their care and assistance. We love you Mother and someday we will all be together again.
    Visitation will be at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home in Irvine, on Wednesday, July 31st between the hours of 6 and 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, August 1st at the funeral home chapel by Bro. Jason Riddell with burial to follow in the Pea Ridge Cemetery.

Neal Johnson

Neal Johnson, 91

    Neal Johnson, age 91, of New Paris, Ohio, went to be with the Lord, Sunday, July 28, 2013 at his home, after an extended illness.
    He was born February 1, 1922 in Shade, Estill County, Kentucky to Floyd D. and Lilly Lynch Johnson and lived in the Richmond, Indiana area most of his life. He formerly worked for the Pennsylvania Railroad and retired from Conrail in 1983. He was a United States Navy veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Pentecostal Church, and enjoyed gardening and yard sales.
    Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Kathryn; five children: Carolyn S. Horn of Richmond, Indiana; Brenda K Gingrey (Ed Phenis) of New Paris, Ohio, Floyd D. (Linda) Johnson of Huber Heights, Ohio, Vickie D. (Steven) Wheeler of Eldorado, Ohio, and Pamela L. (Darrell) Whalen of Cambridge City, Indiana; 34 grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
    He is preceded in death by an infant son; a son-in-law, Julius Horn; his parents, and 12 brothers and sisters.
    Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m., Friday August 2nd at the Stegall-Berheide-Orr Funeral Home, 222 North 10th Street, Richmond, Indiana, with Rev. David Anderson officiating. Burial will be in Spring Lawn Cemetery in New Paris, Indiana, with military rites. Friends may call 5-8 p.m.. Thursday, August 1st at the funeral home.

Ronnie Gail Jordan, 63

    Ronnie Gail Jordan, age 63, of Dry Branch Road in Irvine, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, July 28, 2013 at his home, following a long illness.
    He was born September 11, 1949 in Estill County and was the son of the late Junice Boyd and Sadie White Jordan. He was a former employee of Carhartt, Inc. and the Estill County School System. He attended the Sandhill Christian Church and had lived in Estill County all of his life.
    He is survived by his wife, Mildred Palmer Camenisch Jordan; two daughters: Veronica Sears (Jerry) and Sarah Gilbert (Tim), both of Madison County; three sisters: Barbara Jean Carroll, Anna Neal (Tony) and Vicki Kelly (Anthony), all of Irvine; two brothers: Carl Jordan (Debbie) and Ray Jordan (Christine), both of Irvine; and two grandchildren: Caroline Parke Gilbert and Taylor Rae Gilbert.
    Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 31st at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home Chapel by Bro. Matthew Vaught and Bro. Joe Lahrmer. Burial will be at the Turpin Cemetery. Friends may call between 6 and 9 p.m., Tuesday, July 30th at the funeral home.

Michael Wayne Barnes, 55

    Michael Wayne Barnes, age 55, of Main Street in Ravenna, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, July 27, 2013 at his home following a sudden illness.
    He was born May 7, 1958 in Richmond, KY and was a son of Alvin C. “Dud” Barnes and the late Jeanetta Maxine Jones Barnes Moore. He was a factory worker with Nestle & G.R. Springs and had lived in Estill County all of his life. He attended Ravenna Church of God.
    Michael Wayne Barnes was preceded in death by his wife, Connie Jean Barnes.
    He is survived by his father, Alvin C. “Dud” Barnes, Ravenna; one daughter: Tonetta Hoevenaar, Richmond; one stepson, Steven Dwayne Newton, Virginia; one sister: Nettie McQueen (Bob), London, Kentucky; five brothers: Benny Barnes (Rachel), Irvine; Charles Barnes, Ravenna; Robert Barnes (Lori), Clay City; Mark Barnes (Donea and Terry Barnes (Marsha), both of Ravenna; and three grandchildren: Ciera LeAnn Martinez (Gabriel), Christian Michael Tyler Newton, and Jade Newton.

Carol Sue Tuttle Perkins, 54

    Carol Sue Tuttle Perkins, age 54, of Old Fox Road in Irvine, Kentucky, wife of John Perkins, passed away at her residence on Saturday, July 27, 2013.
    Born August 16, 1958 in Bourbon County, she was a former factory worker and member of The Body Of Christ Ministries.
    She is survived by her parents, Bergin Jr. and Gladys Tuttle of Irvine; her husband, John Perkins of Irvine; one son, Jerry Conrad Jr (Ruthie) of Irvine; and two brothers: Greg Tuttle and Bergin Tuttle III, both of Irvine.
    Funeral services were at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 30th at The Grayson Funeral Home Chapel, 201 7th Street, Clay City, Kentucky. Visitation was 5-8 p.m., Monday, July 29th at the funeral home. Burial was in the Wood Cemetery in Irvine.

James Alfred Dickerson, 78

    James Alfred Dickerson, age 78, husband of the late Lela Joyce “Jane” Lynch of 32 years, passed away Friday, July 26, 2013.
    He was a native of Estill County, born September 17, 1934, one of eleven children of the late Roy and Alphie Bailey Dickerson. He was a retired farmer.
    Mr. Dickerson was preceded in death by his beloved children, Ruth Ann and Travis Mitchell Dickerson.
    He is survived by his five girls: Ruby (Kenneth) Butler, Aileen (John D.) Wilcox, Mary Jane (Mike) Hensley, Betty Gail Dickerson and Debbie Sue Dickerson Pryor; ten grandchildren and six great-grandchildren also survive.
    Graveside services were held Monday, July 29th at the Lynch/Dickerson Family Cemetery in Cobb Hill with Bro. Barnett officiating. Friends were invited to meet at Lewis Funeral Home at 2:00 p.m. and travel in procession to the cemetery.
    Pallbearers were sons-in-law, grandchildren, nephews and friends.
    Memorials may be made by doing a kind deed for someone in need.

Gerry Wayne Puckett, age 53

    Gerry Wayne Puckett, age 53, of Old Fox Road in Irvine, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, July 24, 2013, at his home, following a long illness.
    He was born May 18, 1960 in Estill County and was the son of the late Roy and Alma Hall Puckett. He was a roofer and attended the Full Gospel Evangelistic Ministry. He was a former member of the National Guard. He had lived in Estill County all of his life.
    He is survived by his wife, Patricia Tipton Puckett; one daughter, Brittany Faye Puckett; Estill County; one son, Gerry Wayne “J.R.” Puckett Jr. (Amanda) Estill County; two sisters: Ann Lewis and Brenda Hawkins, both of Estill County; four brothers: Johnny Puckett, David Puckett, Ronnie Puckett and William Puckett, all of Estill County; and one grandchild, Haley Jo Puckett.
    He was preceded in death by two daughters: Linda Michelle and Patricia Gail Puckett; two sisters: Linda Puckett and Tootsie Berryman; and four brothers: Alvin, Omer, Donald and Bobby Puckett.
    Private services were held Friday, July 26th at the Puckett Cemetery by Bro. Larry Collins.
    Pallbearers were David Puckett, William Puckett, James Tipton, Chris Tipton, David Hatton and Charlie Rawlins.

Helen Margaret Long, 96

    Helen Margaret Long, age 96, a resident of the Irvine, Kentucky, Health & Rehabilitation Center passed away Tuesday, July 23, 2013 at the Center.
    She was born September 22, 1916 in Estill County and was the daughter of the late Ike and Lottie Horn Neal. She was a member of the Ravenna Church of God where she had served as a Sunday School teacher and was a member of the choir. She was a former employee of Winn’s Dry Cleaners and had lived in Estill County all of her life.
    Helen Long was preceded in death by her husband, Shirley Long.
    She is survived by one daughter, Peggy Noe Cincinnati, Ohio; five sons: Everett “Sonny” Rucker (Vicki), Robert Rucker, both of Irvine; Glen Long (Carol), Batesville, Indiana; James Edmond Long (Pat) and Michael Ray Long (Delois), both of Irvine; 17 grandchildren, several great grandchildren, and several great, great grandchildren.
    She was preceded in death by one son, Billy Ray Rucker; two sisters, five brothers, one grandchild, Jason Rucker; and two great grandchildren: Emily Setser and Joshua Montgomery.
    Funeral services were conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 26th at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home Chapel by Bro. Willie Gordon. Burial was at the West Irvine Cemetery. Friends called between 6 and 9 p. m., Thursday, July 25th at the funeral home.

    Orville Cornelius Richardson, age 93, Blue Run Road, Irvine, Kentucky, a retired farmer, died Tuesday, July 23, 2013 at his home.
    He was born August 23, 1919 in Estill County and was the last surviving child of the late Henry and Martha Rose Richardson.
    Orville Richardson was preceded in death by three brothers: James “Jay” Richardson, Wade Monroe Richardson and Wilson Richardson; and eight sisters: Minnie Estes, Milda Estes, Geneva Freeman, Rhoda Stone, Nannie Richardson, Pryse Baker and Flossie Bogie.
    Survivors include many nieces and nephews.

    Achie F. Walling, age 91, of Hamilton, Ohio, passed away Monday, July 22, 2013 at his home following a sudden illness.
    He was born January 19, 1922 in Estill County and was a son of the late James S. and Rhoda Abner Walling. He was a Union Carpenter and had lived in Ohio most of his life. He was a member of the Baptist Church and was a United States Army veteran of World War II.
    Achie Walling was preceded in death by his wife, Mabel Gilbert Walling.
    He is survived by one sister, Ruth M. Stone, Estill County; and one brother, Robert Walling, Columbus, Ohio.
    He was preceded in death by two sisters: Louise Barnett and Betty Walling; and two brothers: James Ray Walling and John Walling.

    Mattie Mae Samples Richardson, age 83, of Dawes Road in Irvine, Kentucky, passed away Monday, July 22, 2013 at Baptist Health Lexington following a short illness.
    She was born August 30, 1929 in Lee County, Kentucky, and was a daughter of the late George Washington and Daisy Laura Kincaid Samples. She was a homemaker and had lived in Estill County most of her life.
    Mattie Mae Richardson was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Richardson.
    Survivors include three daughters: Sharron Kaye Marble, Florida; Nikki Leah Richardson and partner, Cathi Johnson, Scott County; and Lisa Michelle Horn and husband, Dwight, Estill County; three sisters: Reva Golden Richardson, Berea; Juanita Irene Wilson, Ohio; and Margaret Evelyn Rawlins, Estill County; three brothers: Hugh Eugene “Shine” Samples, Estill County; Howard Landon Samples, Ohio; and Johnathon Walter Samples, Arizona; seven grandchildren, five great grandchildren and two great, great grandchildren also survive.
    In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death two sisters, Georgia Imogene Samples and Jessie Ailene Lovins; and one brother, Harold Edward Samples.

    Barbara Fielder, age 71, of Sandhill Road in Irvine, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, July 21, 2013, at the University of Kentucky Medical Center after a long illness.
    She was born June 6, 1942 in Estill County and was the daughter of the late Robert and Elsie Smithers Fielder. She was a retired employee of Eastern Kentucky University and a member of the Sandhill Christian Church. She had lived in Estill County all of her life.
    Barbara Fielder is survived by one daughter, Jennifer Lee Fielder, Irvine; one sister, Loraine Hendrix (Paul) Ashland; three brothers: Tom Fielder (Yvonne), Lexington; Ed Fielder (Kay), Mount Vernon; and Gene Fielder (Roxanne), Ashland; her cats: Pepper and Willow; and special nieces and nephews.
    She was preceded in death by two sisters: Blondena Billings and Mavis Tate; and one brother, Donald Fielder.
    Funeral services were conducted at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 24th at the Sandhill Christian Church by Bro. Matthew Vaught. Burial was at the Sandhill Christian Church Cemetery. Friends called between 6 and 9 p.m., Tuesday, July 23rd at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home.

Cegal Harrison,92

    Cegal Harrison, age 92, husband of Barbara Wyatt Harrison, passed away Wednesday, July 17, 2013, at the Life Care Center in Morehead, Kentucky.
    He was a native of Clark County, born August 18, 1920, a son of the late Vannie and Julia Stevens Harrison. Mr. Harrison was retired from the Toledo Mental Health Center; he was a supervisor with Shakelee Corporation for 25 years and was a boilermaker with the C&O railroad in Lexington. He was a member, deacon and minister at the 1st Missionary Baptist Church and a member of the Unity Freewill Baptist. He was a United States Army Veteran.
    Mr. Harrison was preceded in death by his previous wife, Ruby; his brothers, Roy, and Weldon “Jr.”; and his sister, Lillian Withers.
    Survivors, other than his wife of 16 years, Barbara; include his brothers, Forest, and Wayne; and several nieces and nephews.
    Services were held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, July 21st at Lewis Funeral Home with Bro. Martin McIntosh officiating. Burial followed in the West Irvine Cemetery, with Military Honors. Friends called anytime after 6:00 p.m., Saturday, July 20th at the funeral home.

Connie Faye Morris, 53

    Connie Faye Morris, age 53, of Oreo Drive in Winchester, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, July 13, 2013, at the St. Joseph East Hospital, Lexington, after a long illness.
    She was born May 30, 1960 in Cynthiana, Kentucky, and was the daughter of Lula Kirby Morris and the late Edward Morris. She was a former home healthcare provider and attended the Baptist Church. She had lived in Estill County most of her life.
    She is survived by her mother, Lula Kirby Morris; two sons: Tobie Kirby and Jobie Kirby, both of Irvine; one sister, Shelia Coffey, Estill County; one brother, Greg Morris, Estill County; and two grandchildren: Chase and Kyle Kirby.
    Memorial services will be conducted at a later date.

    Charles Michael Hughes, age 51, of Wesley Chapel, Florida, passed away Thursday, July 11, 2013, at his home.
    He was born June 12, 1962 in Dayton, Ohio and was the son of Charles and Joline Newton Hughes. He was a former employee of Lowe’s and had lived in Florida the last 13 years.
    Survivors in addition to his father and mother include one daughter, Darrien Hughes, Lexington; three stepdaughters: Brittany Stewart, Lexington; Chelsi Stewart and Katie Loveless, both of Somerset; and one brother, Robert Hughes, Somerset
    He was preceded in death by two sisters: Vicki Hughes and Pamela Worrell.
    Funeral services were conducted by Bro. Delvin Reece at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, July 18th at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was at the West Irvine Cemetery. Friends called from 11:00 a.m. until service time on Thursday at the funeral home.

    Jennie A. White, age 100, of Irvine, Kentucky, formerly of Richmond, passed away Monday, July 15, 2013, at her home.
    She was born April 25, 1913, in Madison County to the late James M. and Grace Todd Anderson, both of whom preceded her in death. She was the widow of Raymond White. Mrs. White was a retired employee of Westinghouse in Richmond and a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church.
    Survivors include her daughter, Pam Richardson (Linville Arthur); three grandchildren, Tamara Richardson, Sharla Dawes and Danny Proctor (Pamela); five great grandchildren, Tracy, Aaron, Taylor, Ryan, and Breanna; and one son-in-law, Vernon J. Proctor.
    She was preceded in death by one daughter, Gloria Proctor; three brothers, Arthur Anderson, Orville Anderson and Delbert Anderson; one sister, Kandis Anderson.
    Funeral service for Mrs. White were conducted at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 17, 2013 at Oldham, Roberts & Powell Funeral Home, 1110 Barnes Mill Road, Richmond, with Pastor Greg Daniel officiating. Burial followed in the Berea Cemetery. Visitation was from 12 noon until service time, Wednesday, at the funeral home.
    Pallbearers were Danny Proctor, Aaron Proctor, Mike Anderson, Kent Anderson, Wayne Chasteen, and Greg Shackelford.
    Franklin Turpin served as an honorary pallbearer.

Jackie Earl McHone, 66

    Jackie Earl McHone, age 66, of Richmond, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, July 11, 2013, at the home of his daughter in Estill County.
    Jackie was born on May 12, 1947 in Hamilton, Ohio, and was the son of Earl Clyde and Denise Guernale`c McHone, both of whom preceded him in death. He served in the United States Army and was a Sergeant in the Kentucky National Guard. Jackie was a member of the holiness faith.
    Survivors include his longtime wife and companion, Margie Marie McHone Samples; one son, Christopher Allen McHone (Michelle) of Flat Gap; one daughter, Cheryl L. Hocker (Wayne), of Irvine; five brothers: Allen, Ron, Denny, Jimmy, and Johnny McHone; three sisters: Lucy, Mary, and Donna Childress; one half-brother, Nero Cornelius; and 11 grandchildren.
    He was also preceded in death by a son, Jackie Wayne McHone; and one brother, Earl McHone.
    The funeral service for Jackie was conducted at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, July 14th at Oldham, Roberts & Powell Funeral Home, 1110 Barnes Mill Road, Richmond, with Pastor Jeff Jackson officiating the service.     Buddy Bob Hale, 70, husband of Jane Goins Hale, passed away Thursday, July 11, 2013 at his home after a long illness. Mr. Hale was the former owner of B&J Furniture.
    He was a native of Estill County, born September 9, 1942, a son of the late John David “Bud” & Effie Sparks Hale.
    Mr. Hale was preceded in death by his grandson, Bobby Ray Luster; and his brother, Gary Hale.
    Survivors, other than his wife Jane, include a daughter, Regina (Scott) Luster; his sons: John (Jo Ann) Hale and Dean (Crystal) Hale; his grandchildren: Big Josh Luster, Little Josh Hale, Patricia Hale, Owen Powell, Hailey Hale and Chris Hale; his brothers: Philip (Joyce) Hale and Bev (Peggy) Hale; his sister, Judy Hackworth; his sister-in-law, Connie; and a very special cousin, Darrell Roberts.
    Services were held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, July 15th at Lewis Funeral Home, with Bro. Delvin Reece and Bro. Earl Embry officiating. Burial followed in the Campbell Cemetery. Friends called anytime after 6:00 p.m., Sunday, July 14th at the funeral home.

    Shirley Ann McIntosh McCollum, age 73, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, July 11, 2013 at Sts. Mary and Elizabeth Hospital.
    She was born on August 17, 1939 in Louisville to the late Dewey McIntosh and Dorothy Colvin. She was a member of the Estill County Historical Society and the VFW Millcreek Women's Auxiliary.
    In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by two brothers, Woody and Jerry McIntosh; and a daughter-in-law, Judy Briney.
    She is survived by her husband, Leonard W. McCollum; children, Rick Briney, Rhonda Briney, Ray (Debbie) Briney, Frank (Tammi) Briney and Rob (Rhonda) Briney; 57 grand, great-grand, and great-great-grandchildren; six stepchildren; four sisters, Doris, Dena, Shaunia, and Louise; and a brother, Larry.
    A celebration of her life was conducted Saturday July 13, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road, Louisville, with entombment in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation was Saturday from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. at the funeral home.

Dorothy Neikirk Warren, 93

    Dorothy Neikirk Warren, age 93, a resident of the Lee County Care and Rehabilitation Center in Beattyville, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, July 10, 2013 at the Center, following a short illness.
    She was born March 7, 1920 in Estill County and was the daughter of the late Louis and Elizabeth Green Neikirk. She was a homemaker and a charter member of the Friendship Baptist Church. She had lived in Estill County most of her life.
    She was preceded in death by her husband, Steven Warren.
    She is survived by one sister, Mildred Tuttle, Fayette County; three brothers: Danny Neikirk (Brenda), Estill County; Bill Neikirk (Ruth Ann), Virginia; and Raymond Neikirk (Lena) Estill County; and five sisters-in-law: Loretta, Helen, Sue, Faye and Betty Neikirk.
    She was preceded in death by seven brothers: Ralph, Donald, Lewis, Marshall, Boyd, James and Fred Neikirk.
    Funeral services were conducted at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, July 13th at the Friendship Baptist Church by Bro. Scott Rogers. Burial was be at the Richmond Cemetery. Friends called between 6 and 9 p.m., Friday, July 12th at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home and from 9:00 a.m. until service time, Saturday, at the church.
    Pallbearers were Paul Neikirk, Lonnie Gross, David Neikirk, Mark Neikirk, Donnie Neikirk and Jason Neikirk.
    In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to the Friendship Baptist Youth Group.

Marcus Campbell, 69

    Marcus Campbell, age 69, of 10th Avenue, Clay City, Kentucky, passed away Monday, July 8, 2013 at his residence.
    Marcus was born in Hazard, Kentucky, April 2, 1944.
    He is survived by three sons: Marcus L Campbell (Tammy) of Floyds Knob, Indiana; Richard Campbell (Georgina) of Tampco, Indiana; and Don Brewer of Irvine; five daughters: Shelia Johnson (Allen) of Lexington, Indiana; Bobbie Campbell, Barbara Campbell, both of Austin, Indiana; Janice Campbell and Margo Flinders ( Ricky), both of Stanton; 29 grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren; two brothers: Richard “Buster” Campbell of Florida and Alvin Campbell of Clay City; and four sisters: Christine Frisby of Hazard, Ella Mae Campbell of Loretta, Tennessee; Clementine Tracy and Sharon Bishop, both of Clay City.
    Marcus was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew and Leona Campbell; four brothers and three sisters. Funeral services were held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, July 11th at the Grayson Funeral Home Chapel in Clay City. Friends visited 5-9, Wednesday, July 10th at the funeralhome. Burial was in the Hall – Tin Town Cemetery.

Leoma Howard Woosley

Leoma (Howard) Woosley, 94

    Leoma (Howard) Woosley, age 94, of Irvine, Kentucky, finished her journey on earth and went to be with her Lord on Monday, July 8, 2013.
    She was born on August 24, 1918 in Seymour, Indiana, to the late Uncas and Birdie (Hawkins) Howard. On May 12, 1934, she married the late Wilson Woosley. She was a devoted wife and lovingly raised four children and proudly became a grandmother; great and great-great grandmother. She devoted her life to her family which came second only to her love and devotion for her Lord. She loved to work in her flower gardens, tend to her chickens, quilt and crochet, and yard-saleing.
    She was preceded in death by her parents, Uncas and Birdie Howard; husband, Wilson Woosley; siblings, Uncas Howard Jr., Earl Howard, Mary Johnson, Lucille Webb, Edith Johnson, Clara Johnson; a granddaughter, Teresa Moses Francisco; a grandson Ron Profitt; and adaughter-in-law, Gladys Woosley.
    She is survived by her sons: Kenneth Woosley of Irvine, and Bob Woosley of West College Corner, Indiana; a daughter Janice Reynolds of Irvine; a daughter and son-in-law, Faye and Charles Havens of Bath, Indiana; adaughter-in-law, Barbara Woosley of Irvine; and a son-in-law James Reynolds of Irvine. She also leaves behind 16 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; 20 great, great grandchildren; four sisters: Hazel Wiseman, Ann Allen, Sarah Thacker and Effie Moore; and numerous nieces and nephews.
    She was a faithful member of the White Oak Church of God where she loved to sing.
    Funeral services were held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, July 13th at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home Chapel by Bro. Glyndon Woosley. Burial was at the Wood Cemetery. Friends called between 6 and 9 p.m., Friday, July 12th at the funeral home.

    Emma A. Tincher Strange, age 58, of Berea, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, July 7, 2013. She was born September 16, 1954 in Fayette County, Kentucky.
    She is survived by one brother, James Tincher of Clay City; three sisters: Mary Elam (James) of Clay City, Tina Howell of Irvine, and Janie Grace of Berea.
    Graveside services were held Tuesday, July 9th at the Pea Ridge Cemetery in Irvine.
    She was preceded in death by a sister, Beverly McIntosh.

Dorothy Jean Coffey Newman, 70

    Dorothy Jean Coffey Newman, 70, wife of Bro. James Newman, passed away Thursday, June 27, 2013.
    She was a native of Rockcastle County, a daughter of the late Leonard and Grace Richmond Coffey. She was preceded in death by her sister, Naomi Hall.
    Survivors, other than her husband of 53 years, James Newman, include her daughters: Grace Jean (Tommy) Smith and Joyce Faye (Greg) Wall; her sons: James William Newman, Gregory J. (Elien) Newman, and David Newman; her sisters: Bertha Gipson and Mary Rauleston; her brothers: Clyde, Fred, James, and Paul Coffey; ten grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
    Services were held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, June 30th at the Lewis Funeral Home, with Bro. Clyde Coffey officiating. Burial followed in the Isaacs Cemetery. Friends called anytime after 6:00 p.m., Saturday, June 29th at the funeral home..
