    Randy Glen Horn, age 61, of 3rd Street in Ravenna, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, March 8, 2020, at his home.
    He was born December 3, 1958 in Madison County and was the son of the late Earl and Wanda Lynn Tipton Horn. He was a carpenter and had lived in Estill County all his life.
    Mr. Horn is survived by one sister, Marilyn Cornett (Gary), Stamping Ground; and one brother, Chris Horn, Ravenna.
    He was preceded in death by one brother, Greg Horn.
    Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, March 12, 2020, 1:00 p.m., at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home by Bro. Chris Green. Burial will be at the Sunset Memorial Gardens. Friends may call between 6 and 9 p.m., Wednesday, March 11th at the funeral home.

Wanda Lyne Horn

    Wanda Lyne Horn, age 80, of 3rd Street in Ravenna, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, March 8, 2020, at the Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville, following a long illness.
    She was born May 18, 1939 in Estill County and was the daughter of the late Buford and Virginia McIntosh Tipton. She was a former employee of Carhartt, Inc. and retired from the Estill County School System. She was a member of the Cow Creek Baptist Church and a former member of the Eastern Star. She had lived in Estill County all her life.
    Mrs. Horn was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Horn.
    She is survived by one daughter: Marilyn Cornett (Gary), Stamping Ground; one son, Chris Horn, Ravenna; three sisters: Shirley Horn, Irvine; Eldora Abney and Drucilla Tipton, both of Dayton, Ohio; two brothers: Elwood Tipton, Irvine; and Elza Tipton, Winchester; six grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
    She was preceded in death by two sons: Randy and Greg Horn.
    Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, March 12, 2020, 1:00 p.m., at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home by Bro. Chris Green. Burial will be at the Sunset Memorial Gardens. Friends may call between 6 and 9 p.m., Wednesday, March 11th at the funeral home.

Darrell Lee Todd

    Darrell Lee Todd, age 69, of Lee Court in Richmond, Kentucky, passed away Friday, March 6, 2020 at the Compassionate Care Center following a long illness.
    He was born October 14, 1950 in Estill County to the late Elmer Todd and Lillian Estes Todd. He retired from Trane and was a member of the Ravenna Nazarene Church. He was a former member of the Sons of the American Legion. He lived in Estill County most of his life.
    Mr. Todd is survived by his wife of 51 years, Pamela R. Berryman Todd; two sons: Michael Lewis Todd (Melinda), Richmond; and Jeffery Darrell Todd (Margaret), Tennessee; two grandchildren: John Thaddeus Todd and Katherine Grace Todd; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
    He was preceded in death by two sisters, Meredith Jane Dunaway and Melba Jean Blevins Bush; and onr brother, Daniel Lewis Todd.
    Funeral services will be conducted Monday, March 9, 2020, 1:00 p.m., at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home by Bro. Larry Frymyer. Friends may call after 12:00 Noon, Monday until service time at the funeral home. Friends may call from 11:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., Sunday, March 8th at the funeral home.

Dovie Catherine Peters Boyd

    Dovie Catherine Peters Boyd, age 83, widow of Ike Boyd Jr., passed away Thursday, March 5, 2020 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington.
    She was a native of Estill County, a daughter of the late Willie and Rhode Lynch Peters.
    In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her sons: David Roberts and Benjamin Roberts; her siblings: T.J. Peters, Mafrey Mays, and Hallie Mae Rosenbaum; and her half-siblings: Elbert Jamison, Monk Jamison, Charlie Jamison, Claude Jamison, and Irene Duncan.
    Survivors include her children: Ike Boyd (Joni) and Alfred Jason Boyd; her grandchildren: Ashley Fox (Stephen), Ike Boyd IV (Drema), April Boyd, T.J. Boyd, Tyler Boyd (Samantha), and Tiffany Boyd; her great grandchildren: Elijah Boyd, Charity Boyd, Emma Boyd, and Haylee Boyd; and several nieces and nephews.
    Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, March 9, 2020, at Lewis-Abner Home for Funerals. Burial will follow in the South Irvine Cemetery. Friends may call anytime after 6:00 p.m., Sunday, March 8th at the funeral home.

    Jutanna Lee Parks, age 70, of Clay City, Kentucky, passed away at her residence on Friday, March 6, 2020.
    Born in Irvine, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Carma Profitt Ingram and the widow of Wallace Clark and Chester Parks. Jutanna was a former nurse at Saint Joseph Hospital.
    She is survived by her son, Anthony Clark (Kathy) of Winchester; two daughters, LuAnna Brown (Ronnie) of Nancy, Kentucky, and Amy Anderson (Arnold) of Clay City; four stepchildren: Tim Parks, Tim Ritchie, Larcene Powell and Onesia Boyd; two brothers, Donald Ingram of Lexington and David Ingram (Kay) of Mt. Sterling; three grandchildren, Eric Benningfield, Brittany Clark and Audrey Brooks; along with four great grandchildren.
    Funeral services officiated by Bro. James Harold Combs will be 3:00 p.m. Sunday, March 8, 2020 at Hearne Funeral Home, 125 West College Avenue, Stanton. Visitation is 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m., Sunday at the funeral home. Ollie Mae McIntosh

    Ollie Mae McIntosh, age 89, of Lazy Circle Drive in Ooltewah, Tennessee, passed away Wednesday, March 4, 2020, at the Hospice of Chattanooga following a short illness.
    She was born May 5, 1930 in Estill County and was the daughter of the late Floyd D. and Martha Puckett Moreland. She was a retired GE employee and attended the Church of God. She had lived in Estill County most of her life.
    Mrs. McIntosh was preceded in death by her husband, Hester McIntosh.
    She is survived by two daughters: Dian Jager, Missouri; and Loretta Shepard, Tennessee; one son, Richard McIntosh, North Carolina; two sisters: Mary Jane Puckett and Illene Wolfinbarger, both of Estill County; one brother, Floyd D. Moreland Jr., Estill County; 11 grandchildren, several great grandchildren and several great, great grandchildren.
    She was preceded in death by three sisters: Della Ree Moreland, Minnie Golden Moreland, and Susie Tuggle; and two brothers: John and Fred Moreland.

    Jeffery Wayne White, age 56, of Winchester Road in Irvine, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, March 5, 2020, at his home.
    He was born October 18, 1963 and was the son of Evelyn Ruth White Cox. He was a farmer and had lived in Estill County all his life.
    Survivors in addition to his mother include three sisters: Teresa Devine, Harrodsburg; Jennifer Perez, Wilmore; and Tammy Alwine, Indiana.
    Memorial services will be held at a later date.

Beverly Bryant

    Beverly Bryant, born January 22, 1950, joined her Heavenly Father, family and friends that have gone before her on Sunday, March 1, 2020.
    Beverly was a member of Heaven’s View Missionary Baptist Church in Russellville. She worked many years as a weaver at the cotton mill.
    She is preceded in death by her earthly father, Eugene Wilson Greene; ex-husbands, James Horn and Robert Bryant; brother, Daryl Greene; and nephew, Phillip Atkins.
    She is survived by her mother, Lena Mae Johnson; children, Mike Horn (Lana) and Tony (Murphy) Horn; brothers, Gary Greene (Terri), Terry Greene(Maxine), and Larry Greene; a half-brother, Johnny Greene; sisters, Brenda Sutton (Danny), Gloria Collier (Clyde), Angie Abunijem, and Sandy Mullins (Jimmy); grandchildren, James Michael Horn, Joseph and Joshua Horn, and Stacy Horn Pesut; and a great grandchild, Madelynn Pesut; along with several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
    The family would like to give a special thanks to University of Tennessee Hospice.

    George Delbert Kirby, 84, of Corbin, Kentucky, formerly of Irvine, widower of Georgia Frances Hoover Kirby, passed away Sunday, March 1, 2020, after a long illness.
    Mr. Kirby was a native of Estill County, born December 14, 1934, the son of the late Clarence and Alice Farthing Kirby. He was a retired heavy equipment operator for the Southeast Coal Company.
    He was preceded in death by his brothers: Arnold Underwood Kirby, Clarence Kirby, and Willard Kirby; his sister, Betty Kirby; and a grandson, Shannon Carl Kirby.
    Survivors include his sons: Delbert Preston Kirby (Betty), and Dana Hoover; his sister, Elsie Gibson; his grandchildren: Preston Kirby (Pamela), Brian Kirby (Lindsey), Rhonda Hoover, Steve Hoover, Jody Hoover, and James Hoover; and several great grandchildren.

    Jessie Mae Caudill, age 87, of Rice Station Road in Irvine, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, March 1, 2020, at the Irvine Health & Rehabilitation Center.
    She was born February 28, 1933 in Morning Sun, Ohio and was the daughter of the late Banford and Emma Berryman Estes. She was a former cook at the Marcum & Wallace Memorial Hospital and was a member of the Rice Station Christian Church.
    Mrs. Caudill was preceded in death by her husband, Francis Edward Caudill; four sisters: Rebecca Puckett, Mildred Fry, Opal Serio, and Anna Belle Pervus; and two brothers: Edward and William Estes.
    She is survived by several nieces and nephews.
    Memorial services will be held at a later date.

    Judy Ann Walters, age 59, of North Maple Street in Winchester, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, February 29, 2020, at the Clark Regional Medical Center following a long illness.
    She was born January 21, 1961 in Estill County and was the daughter of Anna Mae Estes Walters and the late John Thomas Walters. She attended the Church of God.
    Survivors in addition to her mother include one sister, Sandy Moore, Irvine; two brothers: Thomas Walters and Billy Walters, both of Irvine; several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews; and special friends: Nancy Isaacs and Linda Reynolds.

Barbara Myers Curtis

    Barbara Myers Curtis, age 80, widow of Ambrose Curtis, passed away Friday, February 28, 2020 in Knoxville, Tennessee. Ambrose was a partner at B&C Wholesale that operated in Ravenna for years.
    Born in Winchester, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Ollie Myers and Maurine Martin Myers and a member of Grace Bible Church. Barbara Curtis was married to Ambrose Curtis for 55 years and operated her own beauty shop in Stanton for many years.
    She is survived by her daughter, Ambara Caudill (Jamie) of Stanton; her son, Douglas Curtis of Knoxville, Tennessee; grandchildren, Amy Estepp (David), Craig Pasley (Jessica), Bri Allen (Jason) and a step-grandchild, James Andrew Caudill, along with six great grandchildren, Dawson Estepp, Kayley Estepp, Brody Pasley, Sadie Pasley, Hunter Allen and Evelyn Allen.
    Funeral services officiated by Bro. Lee Cruse were held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, March 2, 2020 at Hearne Funeral Home Inc., 125 West College Avenue, Stanton. Visitation was 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m., Monday at the funeral home. Burial was in Stanton Cemetery alongside her husband, Ambrose Curtis with Jamie Caudill, David Estepp, Jason Allen, Dawson Estepp, Craig Pasley and Brody Pasley serving as pallbearers.

Henry Melvin "Hoss" Cooper, 95


Henry Melvin Cooper

    Henry Melvin "Hoss" Cooper, age 95, Sevierville, Tennessee, passed away on Friday, February 28, 2020, surrounded by his loving family.
    He was born in Irvine, Kentucky, and worked on the family farm before joining the United States Army during World War II. He was stationed in Central Burma and received two bronze stars, a Good Conduct Metal, and Victory Medal WWII.
    After returning from the war, Henry worked for TVA, Fort Sanders Sevier Hospital, and Eastview Memorial Gardens, and was always willing to help others.
    Henry was so proud of his beloved wife, Doris Cooper, and the fact that they never had a cross word. Together they lived in Sevierville and were members of The Gathering where he was honored to have his very own chair. He loved his church family and friends. Henry Melvin Cooper was a devoted son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend.
    Henry was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Effie Cooper; siblings: Katherine Hill, Clara Henry, Minnie Sanders, William Cooper, Arthur Lee Cooper, and Owen Cooper.
    He is survived by his loving wife, Doris Cooper; siblings: Calvin Ray Cooper, Billy Gene Cooper, Wilma Jo Parsons, Nancy Rhodes, and Virginia Withers; children: Robin Whaley, Ann Schmidt, Mary Lou Miller (Brian), Mike Adams (Teresa), Dennis Adams (Jill); grandchildren: Scott Schmidt, Melissa Goldsmith (Brad), Amy Jennings (Tommy), Blake Adams, Brandon Adams (Heather), and Brooke Palmer (Jonathan); and great grandchildren: Zachary and Hunter Jennings, Emmy Goldsmith; Grady, Maddi and Reilly Adams; and Bianca, Braxton and Briley Keyes.
    A graveside service was held on Tuesday, March 3, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Eastview Memorial Gardens, Strawberry Plains, Tennessee. Funeral arrangements were made by McCarty of Sevierville.

Shannon Leon Mayse

    Shannon Leon Mayse, the husband of Sandra Kay Flinchum Mayse of Beattyville, Kentucky and the son of the late Junice and Beulah Johnson Mayse, was born in Irvine, Kentucky on July 18, 1964 and departed this life in Jackson, Kentucky on Friday, February 28, 2020 at the age of 55 years, 7 months and 10 days. Shannon loved Bluegrass music, fishing, hunting, and working on motorcycles.
    In addition to his wife Sandra, he is survived by two brothers, Wayne and Larry Mayse, both of Beattyville; three sisters, Jo Thacker, Hope Thacker, both of Irvine; and Ellis Marie Tharp of Stanton; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
    Shannon was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Randall and Dickie Mayse.
    Visitation will be held at the Newnam Funeral Home, 108 Center Street in Beattyville, on Tuesday, March 3, 2020, 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 Noon, followed by the funeral service at Noon by Pastor Greg Farler. Burial will be in the Horn Cemetery on Old Landing Road in Lee County.

    Marcia Lynne Dunaway McIntosh, age 50, of Millstone Road in Richmond, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, February 25, 2020 and the University of Kentucky Hospital in Lexingotn.
    She was born January 14, 1970 in Jefferson County and was the daughter of the late Kenneth Lynn and Ruth McIntosh Dunaway. She was an organ donor.
    Marcia Lyne is survived by her aunts: Nellie McIntosh, Agnes McIntosh, both of Irvine; and Bonnie Dunaway, Tennessee; her uncle, Ricky Dunaway, Texas; and her cousins: Doreen Alley (Arnold), Douglas Dunaway (Kim), Jennifer Catlett (Dave), and Sandra McKinney (Billy).
    Graveside services were conducted Saturday, February 29, 11:00 a.m., at the West Irvine Cemetery by Bro. Perry Revel.
    Pallbearers were Arnold Alley, Arnold Alley, Jr. and Charles Hayden.

    She was born March 25, 1955 in Estill County and was the daughter of the late Phillips and Dorothy Arvin Young. She was a former employee of the R&B Country Kitchen and a member of the New Bethel Baptist Church #1. She had lived in Estill County all her life.
    Mrs. Stone is survived by her husband, Tiffie Glenn Stone; one daughter, April Berryman (Bill), Estill County; one son, Phillip Lee Stone, Estill County; three sisters: Connie Mosley, Lillian Miller, and Penny Young, all of Estill County; two brothers: James Young and Ricky Young, both of Estill County; and three grandchildren: Phillip Glenn Stone, Skylar King and Jaiden Stone.

Vonnie “Mousey” Harrison

    Vonnie “Mousey” Harrison was born May 26, 1958 in Jackson County and departed this life Thursday, February 27, 2020 at the Stanford Care & Rehab, being 61 years of age. He was the son of the late Earl & Elsa (McKinney) Harrison.
    Mousey is survived by two children, Jessica Perkins (Eric) of Stanford and Bryan Lickliter of Lexington. He is also survived by the following siblings, Ronnie Harrison of McKee, Donnie Harrison of Waneta, L.D. Harrison of Irvine, Connie Tankersley of Waneta, and Bonnie Snipes of North Carolina. He was blessed with seven grandchildren and one great grandchild.
    The funeral service was at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 29, 2020 at Lakes McKee Funeral Home, 1181 Main Street South, McKee, with Bro. Brian Gabbard officiating. Burial followed in the Harrison Cemetery in the Congleton Hollow at Waneta.

    Burtle “Burt” Isaacs, age 81, of Richmond, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday morning, February 25, 2020.
    He was born in the Wanata community of Jackson County, Kentucky on August 11, 1938 to the late Shellie and Linda Creech Isaacs. Burt was a former employee of Bryant Manufacturing and was a life-long farmer. He loved to fish bluegill and hunt rabbits, squirrel and deer; but most of all he loved his family. Burt was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church.
    Survivors include his children, Lisa Webb (Randal), Tonya Kaye Isaacs, Tony Isaacs (Mary), Steve Short (Sherri) and David Short; one sister, Janet Sue Powell; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren as well as a host of other extended family and friends.
    In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Donna Fritz Isaacs; four brothers, Homer, Turner, Hershel, and John Isaacs; and three sisters, Shelby Jean Combs, Lorraine Isaacs, and Christine Abner.
    Funeral Services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Friday, February 28, 2020, at the Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral Home, 328 West Main Street, Richmond, with Bro. Bobby Greene officiating.
