Alice Katherine Rogers

    Alice Katherine Rogers, age 87, of White Oak Road in Irvine, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, December 12, 2021, at her home following a short illness.
    She was born December 1, 1934, in Estill County and was the daughter of the late A.J. and Ida Wiseman Henry. She was a retired Family Dollar employee and was a member of the White Oak First Church of God. She had lived in Estill County all her life.
    Mrs. Rogers is survived by her daughter, Holly Rogers, Irvine.
    She was preceded in death by her husband, James Rogers; her daughter, Alisa Snowden; and four siblings, Mable Campbell, Faye Wilson, Millard Henry and Harold Henry.
    Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, December 15, 2021, 12:00 Noon, at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Glyndon Woosley officiating. Burial will be at the White Oak Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until service time at 12:00 Noon at the Funeral Home.

Conley Wayne Keene

    Conley Wayne Keene, age 78, of Ida Grace Road in Irvine, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, December 11, 2021, at the Marcum and Wallace Hospital in Irvine following a long illness.
    He was born December 24, 1942 in Madison County and was the son of the late Amos and Rosie Mae Neely Keene. He worked in maintenance and had lived in Estill County for the last 25 years.
    Mr. Keene is survived by his wife, Gladys Smith Keene; one son, Robbie Keene, Florida; one step-daughter, Delores Rawlins, Estill County; three step-sons: Billy Roy Smith (Richelle), Arthur Smith (Brenda), and Michael Smith, all of Estill County; two sisters: Eva Katherin Alcorn, Madison County; and Tina Weithing, Casey County; one brother, Martin Keene, Virginia; and several step-grandchildren.
    In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Coleman Keene.
    Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, December 16, 2021, 11:00 a.m., at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home with Bro. Jerry Rose officiating. Burial will be at the Richmond Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Funeral Home.

Robert G. Miller Sr.

    Robert G. Miller Sr., age 83, of Grant's Lick, Kentucky, passed away on Wednesday, December 8, 2021, at Highlandspring of Ft. Thomas on his 83rd birthday.
    He was born in West Irvine, Kentucky on December 8, 1938 to his late parents, Douglas and Hallie Underwood Miller. Robert retired from the Environmental Protection Agency. He was a member and Ordained Deacon of First Baptist Church of Cold Spring, a member of The Gideons International, and a trustee at Raymond Walters College.
    Robert is preceded in death by his wife, Margaret "Peggy" Ryan Miller; and his son, Robert G. Miller Jr.
    He is survived by his former wife, Betty Jo Pearson Miller; a daughter-in-law, Kimberly Miller; and two grandsons, Taylor and Tanner Miller.
    Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 11, 2021, from 1:00 p.m. until the time of funeral services at 3:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Cold Spring; immediately followed by a reception at the church. Interment will be private in the Alexandria Cemetery, Alexandria, Kentucky.

    Roxanne Turpin Abner, age 55, of McKee, Kentucky, formerly of Madison County, passed away on Thursday, December 9, 2021 at her mother's home. She was born on January 16, 1966 in Estill County.
    Roxanne was a self employed housekeeper and enjoyed spending time outdoors working in her yard or with her flower garden.
    Survivors include her mother, Brenda Evans Turpin; her husband, Jeff King; her children, Summer Combs (Anthony) and Josh Abner; her two step-children, Debbie King and Emily King; her two brothers, Bobby Turpin (Brenda) and Brent Turpin (Tosha Burton); and her two grandchildren, Clayton Combs and Andrew Marcum; as well as a host of other extended family and friends.
    She was preceded in death by her father, Johnny Turpin.
    Funeral services will be conducted at 3:30 p.m., Sunday, December 12, 2021, at the Combs, Parsons & Collins, W. Main St., Richmond, with her uncle, Rev. Forrest Turpin officiating. Burial will follow in the Flatwoods Cemetery. Visitation will be after 12:00 Noon, on Sunday, at the funeral home.
    Pallbearers will be Mike Smith, Jack Smith, Charlie Waldon, Scott Elkins, Marty Evans and Calvin Gooch.

Alvin Lee Gross

    Alvin Lee Gross, age 87, of Irvine, Kentucky, departed this life on Thursday, December 9, 2021, at the Marcum-Wallace Hospital in Irvine.
    He was born on July 11, 1934 in Irvine, to the late Vernon and Dorothy Townsend Gross. He was a member of the Pinnacle Rock Church at Old Landing.
    In addition to his parents, Alvin was preceded in death by five brothers, Roy, Hoover Earl, Vernon Jr., Woodrow, and Bondagon Gross; one sister, Alma Belle Wiseman; one brother-in-law, Arnold Earl Begley; and two sisters-in-law, Sarah Frances Jones Gross and Sue Brandenburg Gross.
    Alvin is survived by four brothers, Troy Gross of Hamilton, Ohio; Joe Gross of Red Lick, Lemon Gross of Irvine, Alvin's twin; and Bill Gross of Whitesburg; one sister-in-law, Becky Gross of Winchester; two sisters, Pauline Begley (Willie) of Irvine, and Maggie Begley of Florida; along with numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews to miss him and mourn his passing.
    Funeral services for Alvin Lee Gross will be conducted on Monday, December 13, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Lewis Home for Funerals with Rev. Jerry Rose officiating. Interment will follow in the Cobb Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until the time of services at 1:00 p.m.

Bradley James "Brad" Myers

    Bradley James "Brad" Myers, age 30, of Irvine, Kentucky, passed away at his residence on Sunday, December 5, 2021.
    He was born in Mt. Sterling, Montgomery County, Kentucky, on May 23, 1991 to Stephen and Rhonda Myers.
    Brad is survived by his father, Stephen Myers; his mother, Rhonda Hoover; his grandmother, Karen Rogers; and a brother, Stephen Myers (Tiffany).
    Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, December 10, 2021 at the Grayson Funeral Home in Irvine with Bro. Jerry Rose officiating. Friends may visit Friday from 11:00 a.m. 'till time of the service. Burial will be in the Oakdale Cemetery.

    Billy Darrell Dixon, age 77, of Richmond Road in Irvine, Kentucky, passed away Monday, December 6, 2021, at the Compassionate Care Center in Richmond, following a long illness.
    He was born September 30, 1944, in Estill County and was the son of the late Elbert and Hazel Riddell Dixon. He was a retired employee of the Richmond Register and a member of the American Legion. He was a United States Army veteran and had lived in Estill County all his life.
    Mr. Dixon was preceded in death by his wife, Kathy Majetich Dixon; and is survived by two daughters: Tina Gentry (Alfred), Estill County; and Billie Shumaker (Miles), Florida; one son, Darrell Dwayne Dixon (Amie), Knox County; three sisters: Verlon Edwards, Clark County; Wilma Young, Estill County; and Jerrie Scenter, Madison County; one brother, Arthur Dixon, Garrard County; his companion, Betty Hisle; three grandchildren: Shabrina Rosenbaurer, Jaycob Gentry and Austin Oliver; and five great grandchildren: Landen Rosenbaurer, Kaden Rosenbaurer, Caroline Rosenbaurer, Ayden Oliver and Keaton Oliver.
    In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Cathy Worley.
    Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, December 9, 2021, 1:00 p.m., at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home with Bro. Jerry Rose officiating. Burial will be at the West Irvine Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday from 11:00 a.m. to service time at 1:00 p.m. at the Funeral Home.

    Johnny Goodwin, age 63, husband of Kitty Sturgill Goodwin, passed away Thursday, December 2, 2021 at Clark Regional Medical Center, Winchester.
    He was born June 16, 1958 in Clay City, Kentucky to the late Kenneth and Lois Faye Powell Goodwin.
    Survivors include his wife, Kitty Goodwin; children, HK Goodwin, Johnathon Jason Goodwin (Loretta), Dale Goodwin (Amanda), Earnest Jay Goodwin (Kayla), Brenda Goodwin Clair (Mitchell), Lois Goodwin Robinson (Ryan), Kendrick Sturgill, Kedrick Sturgill, and Autom Sturgill; brothers, Randy Goodwin and Billy Joe Goodwin; sisters, Louise Hall and Wanda McIntosh; 17 grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
    Services will be held Thursday, December 9, 2021, 1:00 p.m., by Bro. Anthony Molihan at Davis & Davis Funeral Home, 777 West College Avenue, Stanton. Visitation will be held Wednesday, December 8th, 6-9 p.m., at the funeral home.

    William Gayle Smith, age 64, a resident of the Fountain Circle Care & Rehabilitation Center in Winchester, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, December 2, 2021, at the Center.
    He was born March 8, 1957, in Winchester and was the son of the late Bobby J. Smith and Reva Dixon Toler. He was a former plumber with Bobby Smith Plumbing and was a member of the Wagersville Community Pentecostal Church of God. He had lived in Clark County all his life.
    Mr. Smith is survived by two daughters: Bobbie Gail Smith Flack (Brian), and Heather Ray Smith Wages (Manuel), both of Winchester; one son, William Allen Smith, Mt. Sterling; one sister, Fay Isaacs, Lexington; one brother, Ronnie Smith, Winchester; 12 grandchildren and one great grandchild.
    Funeral services were conducted Monday, December 6, 2021, 1:00 p.m., at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home with Bro. Brian Woolwine officiating. Burial was at the West Irvine Cemetery. Visitation was held Monday, from 11:00 a.m. to service time at 1:00 p.m. at the Funeral Home.

Donald Edward Bradley

    Donald Edward Bradley, age 81, of Stanton, Kentucky passed away on Thursday, December 2, 2021 at Clark Regional Medical Center, Winchester, Kentucky.
    Born in Winchester, Kentucky he was the son of the late Dillard Bradley and the late Edna Mae Adams Bradley and a retired employee of Rockwell International. Donald was an avid bass fisherman and a member of Vaughn's Mill First Church of God.
    In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Angel Gail Armstrong; a daughter-in-law, Pam Bradley; and two brothers, June Hunt and Roy Grimes.
    He is survived by one son, Donald Keith Bradley of Irvine; three daughters: Carla Townsend (David) of Zachariah, Kim Napier (Tommy) and Karen Daniels (Andy), both of Stanton; one brother, Ray Bradley of Winchester; one sister, Robin Durbin (Larry) of Irvine; eight grandchildren: Tommy Ray Napier II, Devin Townsend, Ryan Armstrong, Jordan Gaines, Bradi Flowers, Lexie Adams, Bethany Bradley and Caitlin Futch; great grandchildren, Kyndall, Kamryn, Kylie, Kobe, Karlee, Ravyn, Bash, Waylon, Sawyer, Kashlyn, Grayson and Charleigh; and great, great grandchild, Marli.

    Timothy Ray Parker II, age 36, of Family Circle in Irvine, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, November 30, 2021, at his home, following a short illness.
    He was born October 15, 1985 in Lexington and was the son of Timothy Ray and Trudy Jean Horn Parker. He was an employee of B3 Archery and attended the Easter Valley Baptist Church.
    Survivors, in addition to his father and mother, include his wife, Megan Joy Tipton Parker; his grandparents: Alene Vest of London, Kentucky; and Larry and Bessie Horn of Irvine; one brother, Dustin Parker (Kelsey), Winchester; his in-laws, Sheila and Joseph Fleming, Irvine; a sister-in-law, Whitney Horn (Buddy), Irvine; nephews: Easton Parker, Hayden Ritchie, Kenlee Horn and William Horn; and a host of other nieces and nephews.
    He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Robert Vest and Roy and Betty Parker.

Charlie Franklin Goodwin

    Charlie Franklin Goodwin, age 64, of Clay City, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, November 25, 2021 at Clark Regional Medical Center, Winchester.
    Born in Clay City, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Vernon Goodwin and the late Nancy Jane Hall Goodwin and a construction employee with Central Rock, Phillips Construction and Red River Hardwoods. He was a fine hunter and fisherman that took good care of his family.
    Charlie is survived by his wife of 46 years, Littie Vance Goodwin; three sons, Charlie Franklin Goodwin II (Valerie), Randolph Vernon Goodwin (Tonya), and Vernon Thomas Goodwin, all of Clay City; one brother, Trigger Barnes of Jeffersonville; three sisters, Ada Meadows of Clay City, Matilda Hamilton of Carlisle, and Zellie Barnes of Jeffersonville; along with four grandchildren, Joshua Spencer, Cole Goodwin, Thomas Goodwin (Shae) and LaShana Goodwin.
    Funeral services officiated by Bro. Scott Barnes were held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, November 29, 2021 at Hearne Funeral Home, 125 West College Avenue, Stanton. Visitation was Sunday from 5 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
    Burial was in the Charlie Goodwin and Family Cemetery with Joshua Spencer, Cole Goodwin, Thomas Goodwin, LaShana Goodwin, Charlie Franklin Goodwin II and Vernon Goodwin serving as active pallbearers.
