Sister M. David Ruschmann, OSB

    Sister M. David Ruschmann, OSB, Villa Hills, Kentucky, died peacefully Tuesday, April 19, 2022 at St. Walburg Monastery at age 95.
    A Benedictine sister for over 75 years, Sr. David served as a nurse and nurse anesthetist at Santa Fe Hospital, La Junta, Colorado; and St. Joseph Hospital, Florence, Colorado; Director of Nursing at Madonna Manor, Villa Hills, Kentucky; Director of Nursing and Anesthesia at Estill County/Marcum and Wallace Hospital, Irvine; nurse anesthetist at Clark Regional Medical Center, Winchester; outreach service to the poor at St. Elizabeth Church, Ravenna; and many supportive services at St. Walburg Monastery.
    She is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Clara Motz Ruschmann; her sisters, Sister Clara, CDP, Sr. Joseph, OSB, Freda Schmitz, Sr. Agnes, OSB, Bernadette Cunningham, Theresa Humpert, and Agnes Rumker; and brothers, Joseph and William.
    Sr. David is survived by her sister, Rita Keener; many nieces, nephews, friends and her Benedictine community.
    Vigil service will be held at 7:00 p.m, Tuesday, April 26, 2022, followed by visitation until 9:00 p.m., and the Mass of Christian Burial at 5:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 27th at St. Walburg Monastery.     Nannie Jean Willis Hunt, age 85, entered her heavenly home on Sunday, April 24, 2022, after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer’s.
    Nannie was born in Irvine, Kentucky, on May 13, 1937, and lived in Estill County all her life. She was a charter member of the Valley View Baptist Church, and she spent a lifetime of serving others.
    Mrs. Hunt is survived by her son, Teddy Hunt (Melissa); her daughter, Charlotte Rose; a daughter-in-law, Kathleen Hunt; 12 grandchildren: Rebecca Creech (Rodrigo), Kristi Lynn Tipton, Randall Joe Goosey, Richard Goosey, Ashley Henry, Michael Goosey (Tiffany), Jeremiah Hunt, Justin Babb, Rose Doggett (Justin), Tedra Hunt (Michael), Christopher Hunt (Whitney) and Keyona Wade (Jerrid); seven great grandchildren: Hayley Henry, Lacey Tipton, Savannah Henry, Ashton Rose, Brandon Goosey, Allen Tipton, Faylyn West; three sisters: Sharon Anderson, Myrtle Neal, and Judy Oaks, (Jeff); two brothers: Herman Willis and Cash Willis; special caregiver, Jennifer Burke; and a host of other family and friends.
    She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Douglas Hunt; her parents, Marion and Bessie Hardy Willis; her sons, Richard Hunt, David Hunt and Randall Hunt; her daughter, Sharon Lois Goosey; her brothers, Bill, Paul, Charles, Farrell and Bev; her sisters, Joyce and Betty.
    Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, April 28, 2022, 11:00 a.m., at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home Chapel with Chris Hunt officiating. Burial will be at the Pea Ridge Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday, April 27th from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Funeral Home.
    Pallbearers are Michael Lewis, Jerrid Wade, Ashton Rose, Brandon Goosey, Richard Goosey and Jeremiah Hunt.

    Farry Marie Lakes was born July 29, 1938, in Estill County and departed this life Friday, April 22, 2022, at the Baptist Health Hospital in Richmond at the age of 83. She was the daughter of the late Johnny and Hannah Sparks Marcum.
    On July 26, 1957, Farry married the love of her life, Elmer Lakes of McKee, and to this union was born eight children, Johnny Lakes (Connie) of Mt. Vernon, Wanda Tillery (Mike), Brenda Fox (Harold), both of McKee, Patricia Gray (Darel) of London, Jeff Lakes (Sherry), Jerry "Squeaky" Lakes, both of McKee, Jimmy Lakes (Shannon) of Madison County, and Jackie Lakes (Anita) of Lexington. She is also survived by two brothers, Poodle Marcum (Jeanette) of Louisville and Marvin Marcum (Frances) of Irvine; and by three sisters, Gearl Hembree (Kenneth) of Berea, Elizabeth Turner (Lanny) of Ohio and Alma Jenkins of Richmond. Farry was blessed with 22 grandchildren, 68 great grandchildren, and 4 great, great grandchildren.
    In addition to her parents, Farry was preceded in death by a great, great grandchild, Alyssa Marie Lakes; and by the following siblings, Chester, Leonard, Delbert, Lester, Cecil, Glenn, Hazel, Allie and Della Marcum, Mary Isaacs, and Sue Hurley.
    Farry was a member of the Wind Cave Baptist Church.
    Funeral services were at 10:00 a.m., Monday, April 25, 2022 at Lakes Funeral Home, McKee, with her son, Bro. Jimmy Lakes officiating. Burial followed in the William Riley Lakes Cemetery. Visitation was held Sunday, April 24th, starting at 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

    She was born April 16, 1974 in Lexington to Eddie and Wanda Branham Sizemore.
    Survivors include, parents, Eddie and Wanda Sizemore; husband, Lloyd Todd; sons, Timothy Brandon Coffey and William David Todd; daughter, Emily Michelle Todd; sisters, Connie Sizemore Ritchie and Jessica Sizemore; grandchildren, Leighton Ross, Brantley Ross, Peyton Coffey, and Victoria Coffey; and several nieces and nephews.

    Sharon Lynn Richardson Taylor, age 59, of Irvine, Kentucky, departed this life suddenly on Tuesday, April 19, 2022, at Central Baptist Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky.
    Sharon was born on November 15, 1962, in Irvine, Kentucky, to the late Elmer Grant Richardson and Betty Lou Gould Lane.
    Survivors include her husband, Terry Taylor; one daughter, Travenna Flynn (Stewart) of Irvine; one son, Dewayne Rose (Terri) of Winchester; five grandchildren, Lucas Flynn, Mahailee Combs, Allison Frazier, Zoey White, And Mayson White; two brothers, Tracy McQueen and Jeff Gould (Robin); one sister, Tonya Floyd (Gayle) of Irvine; a special niece and her family, Lakrisha Butzer and husband Andrew and their babies, Nola and Colin; along with numerous other relatives and friends.
    Funeral services for Sharon Lynn Richardson Taylor will be conducted on Friday, April 22, 2022, in the chapel of Lewis Home for Funerals. Speaker and friend Darrell Roberts will officiate. Interment will follow in the Congleton Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m., Friday until the time of services at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

    Willie Terry, age 82, of Irvine, Kentucky, departed this life at the Jewish Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky on Tuesday, April 19, 2022.
    He was born on November 6, 1939, in Beattyville, Kentucky to the late Cleveland and Mary Jane Newton Terry. Willie is survived by his loving companion of over 22 years, Norma Curry.
    Willie is also survived by one daughter, Sandra Lewis; a grand son, Gregory Terry (Crystal); a great grandson, Hunter Terry; and six siblings, Alice Reece, Callie Bailey (George), Lee Ann Wilson (Ted), Emma Messer (Jerry), Chester Terry, and Bradley Terry (Margaret); along with numerous nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
    In addition to his parents, Willie was preceded in death by three sisters, Dora Estes, Norma Mosley, and Cora Collins; and one son, Ernest Dean Terry.
    Funeral services for Willie Terry will be conducted on Monday, April 25, 2022, at 6:00 p.m. in the chapel of Lewis Home for Funerals. Brother Larry Neal will officiate. A private graveside interment service will be held on Tuesday at the Terry Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4 p.m. until the time of services at the funeral home.

    Floyd Lee Dawes, age 97, of Irvine, Kentucky, departed this life on Monday, April 18, 2022, at the Irvine Health and Rehabilitation Center in Irvine, Kentucky.
    Born on October 7, 1924, in Irvine, Kentucky to the late William Mack and Rachel Arvin Dawes, Floyd was a United States Navy veteran and a member of the Furnace Church of Christ. He was an accomplished artist who loved fishing, landscaping, electronics, country music, ice cream, and lemon drop candy. In addition to his parents, Mr. Dawes is preceded in death by his devoted wife of 67 years, Edna Billings Dawes; his daughter, Myra Joyce Snyder (Dean); a granddaughter, Kimberly Dawes Perry; two brothers, William Dawes and Maurice Dawes; and four sisters, Evelyn Griffin, Thelma Hawkins, Mattie Bea Johnson, and Nellie Macy.
    Survivors include his son, Edward Lee Dawes (Mary) of Loveland, Ohio; his daughter, Karen Michelle Colley (Tom) of Sterling Heights, Michigan; seven grandchildren, five great grandchildren and ten great, great grandchildren; one brother, Robert Joseph Dawes (Joyce) of St. Augustine, Florida; and one sister, Shirley Jean Hardy (Leonard) of Irvine; along with numerous nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends to miss him and mourn his passing.
    Funeral services for Floyd Lee Dawes will be conducted on Monday, April 25, 2022, at 12:30 p.m. in the chapel of Lewis Home for Funerals. Reverend Jerry Rose will officiate. Interment will follow in the Billings Cemetery in the Furnace Community. The family will receive friends, 10:30 a.m. until the time of services at 12:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
    Pallbearers will be Mark Dawes, Chris Dawes, Brendan Colley, and Ryan Colley.

    Roger Lee Puckett, age 77, of White Oak Road in Irvine, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, April 17, 2022, at the Homestead in Lexington following a long illness.
    He was born April 10, 1945, in Confluence, Pennsylvania and was the son of Floyd and Leoda Ginter Puckett. He served in the United States Army and retired from CSX Railroad. He was a member of the River Drive Christian Church and had lived in Estill County most of his life.
    Mr. Puckett is survived by his wife, Anna Katherine McClain Puckett; one daughter, Shellie Puckett Miracle (Tony) of Campbellsville; one son, Roger Wayne Puckett (Karen) of Irvine; one brother, Billy Ray Puckett of Corbin; two grandchildren, Morgan and Logan Miracle; and two step-grandchildren, Josiah and Jameson Miller. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Benny Puckett.
    Funeral services were conducted Wednesday, April 20, 2022, 11:00 a.m., at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Paul Groves officiating. Burial was at the Dunaway Cemetery. Visitation was held Tuesday from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Funeral Home.

    Timothy Dale Raider, age 55, of Irvine, Kentucky, departed this life on Friday, April 15, 2022, at Central Baptist Hospital in Lexington.
    Timothy was born on March 2, 1967, in Connersville, Indiana to the late Tommy and Nancy Newton Raider. He was of the Christian faith.
    In addition to his parents, Mr. Raider is preceded in death by one brother, Thomas D. Raider; and two brothers-in-law, Scotty Hamm and Barry Witt.
    Survivors include his fiancée of 33 years, Edna Carol Casteel; two brothers, Terry Raider and Bradley Raider (fiancée Marie Neal); five sisters, Tonya Hamm, Tammy Witt, Trina Rawlins, Theresa Cornett (Mike) and Tracy Richardson (fiancé James Tipton); one special niece, Riley "Baby Girl" McDowell; along with numerous other nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews, all of which he considered as his own children.
    Funeral services for Timothy Dale Raider will be conducted on Tuesday, April 19, 2022, at 1:00 p.m., in the Lewis Home for Funerals chapel. Brother Delvin Reese will officiate the services. Interment will follow in the Raider Family Cemetery in Irvine. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until the time of services at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
    Pallbearers will be Jason Watkins, Jeremy Barnes, Gary Robertson, Glen Snowden, Josh Cole, and Brandon Holliman.
    Honorary pallbearer will be Carleigh Hardy.

    Ina Fay Mason, 82, widow of Billy R. Mason, passed away on Wednesday, April 13, 2022, at her home in Winchester, Kentucky.
    Born in Estill County, Kentucky, on April 10, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Wilgus F. and Mary Ellen Hall Wise. She was a homemaker.
    Survivors include three children, Martina Hensley (Larry Wayne), Daniel Ray Mason (Clarissa), and David Perry Mason (Leisa); eight grandchildren, Jill Walker (Chad), Leslie Hatton (Philip), Jonathan Mason, Caleb Mason (Morgan), Ethan Mason, Dustin Nickels, Austin Mason, and Eric Mason (Jen); three siblings, Kathy Calvert, Omer Wise and Raymond Wise; five great grandchildren, and several extended family members and friends.
    Services will be at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 19, 2022, at the Leon Pace Memorial Chapel of Scobee Funeral Home by Pastor Daniel Ray Mason. Burial will follow in Winchester Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12:00 Noon until time of service on Tuesday.

    Zackie Glenn Warner, Jr., age 46, of Red River Road in Irvine, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, April 12, 2022, at the Marcum & Wallace Memorial Hospital.
    He was born September 17, 1975 in Estill County and was the son of Linda Marie Keech and the late Zackie Glenn Warner, Sr. He was a farmer and had lived in Estill County all his life.
    Mr. Warner is survived by his mother, Linda Marie Keech of Ohio; his grandmother, Mary Warner of Estill County; one daughter, Elizabeth Warner of Estill County; one son, Brian Glenn Hackworth of Estill County; two sisters: Peggy Warner of Estill County; and Tabitha Sparks of Scott County; and three brothers: Sam Warner, Daniel Warner, and Jason Warner, all of Estill County.
    Memorial services will be held at a later date.

    Sandra Lee Davis, age 64, wife of James Davis of Winchester, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, April 12, 2022 at St. Joseph East, Lexington, Kentucky.
    Born in Neubrucke, Germany, she was the daughter of the late David Wilson Reffett and Geatta Faye Hisle Reffett. She was one of the most loving and caring people that you would ever meet, and she never met a stranger.
    In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Jason Davis; a special nephew, Gary Banks; and a great nephew, Ni’Klaus Toth.
    She is survived by her husband, James Davis; two sons, Jamie Davis of Winchester and Jeremy Davis (Chasta) of Clay City; a brother, John Reffett of Clay City; a sister, Christiana R. Banks of Winchester; two grandchildren, Drew Davis and Jaxon Davis; great nephews, Tristyn Toth and Elyjah Toth; a special nephew, Nathan Toth; special nieces, Brittany Banks and Janetta Lyons (Ceddy); and a great niece, Faelynn Wells.
    Funeral services officiated by Jamie McIntosh and Brittany Banks will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 16, 2022 at Hearne Funeral Home, 125 West College Avenue, Stanton. Visitation is Friday from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Kennon Cemetery with Teddy Henry, Nathan Toth, Cedric Lyons, Gary Banks, Brian Hamblin and Kevin Stanfill serving as active pallbearers. Raymond Davis is an honorary pallbearer.

    Michael John Barnett, age 50, husband of Maria Angelica Arreola Barnett, passed away at Desert Regional Hospital in Palm Springs, California on Tuesday, February 22, 2022.
    Born in Mt. Sterling, Kentucky he was the son of the late Andy Wallace Barnett and the late Lois Dean Linton Barnett. Michael was a manager for Western Environmental, Inc. and also was a heavy equipment operator.
    Mr. Barnett is survived by four children, Michael Andrew Barnett of California, Shelby Barnett of Mt. Sterling, Mackenzi Mallory (Paul) of Stanton and Krana Puckett of Irvine; and one sister, Rebecca Bolduc (Alex) of Clay City.
    Memorial services officiated by David Jones, Cecil Neal and Kelly Spangler Roberts will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, April 30, 2022 at Hearne Funeral Home, 125 West College Avenue, Stanton. Visitation will be held from 12:00 Noon to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday as well, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Elkins Cemetery in Clay City.

    Marjorie Ella Wolfinbarger, age 92, of Cedar Grove Road in Irvine, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, April 12, 2022, at the Marcum & Wallace Memorial Hospital following a long illness.
    She was born March 12, 1930 in Estill County and was the daughter of the late James Archie Cox and Mary Chessney Hoover Cox. She was a former teacher, beautician and retired from the Irvine Health & Rehabilitation Center where she worked as a CNA. She was a member of the South Irvine Baptist Church, a former Sunday School teacher and pianist for many years.
    Mrs. Wolfinbarger was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Wolfinbarger; and is survived by two sons: Dirk Donnelley Wolfinbarger (Brenda Young) and Max Hans Wolfinbarger (Rebecca) both of Irvine; two grandchildren: Brian Wolfinbarger (Erica) and Deanna Seale (Gene); and five great grandchildren: Lennon Wolfinbarger, Paige Williams, Ella Seale, Mille Seale and Nora Seale.
    She was preceded in death by three sisters, Jewell Harris, Opal Miller, and Delpha Cox; and four brothers, Delbert Cox, Cecil Cox, James Archie Cox, Jr. and Truman Cox.
    Funeral services will be conducted Friday, April 15, 2022, 1:00 p.m., at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Donnie Burford officiating. Burial will be at the Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held Friday from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Funeral Home.
