U.S. Army SGT Lonnie F. Seale

U.S. Army SGT Lonnie F. Seale, age 46, Passed away Wednesday, March 13, 2024 at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland after a brief illness.
He was born on June 30, 1977 in Lexington, and raised in Clay City, Kentucky. He dedicated 13 years of service to the United States Army, where he worked as a heavy equipment mechanic.
Lonnie was more than just a soldier; he was a friend, a mentor, and a beacon of kindness in a world that often seems too harsh. Those who knew him best remember him as the guy who would drop everything to lend a hand or share a laugh, never asking for anything in return. Lonnie had a knack for making people feel seen and heard, whether he was teaching them how to handle a firearm safely or showing them the ropes in the garage. An outdoorsman through and through, Lonnie found peace in the simplicity of nature. Whether he was out in the woods, bow in hand, or casting a line into a quiet stream, he was in his element. But Lonnie wasn't just about hunting and fishing; he had a passion for life that extended to everything he did. During his time in the military, Lonnie touched the lives of countless young soldiers, many of whom looked up to him as a big brother or father figure. Alongside his loving wife, Anita, Lonnie's door was always open to anyone who needed a friend or a shoulder to lean on. Their home was a place of warmth and acceptance, where everyone was family. One of Lonnie’s most cherished roles was that of a father. Not only was he a loving and devoted Dad to his own children, but he also embraced Anita’s children his own, becoming a father figure to them in every sense of the word. Lonnie leaves behind a legacy of compassion and camaraderie that will be dearly missed by his family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing him. He will be fondly remembered for his infectious laughter, unwavering friendship, and boundless generosity.
Lonnie was preceded in death by his father, Lonnie Victor Seale; and his mother, Trudy Berryman-Seale.
